I'd take issue with two points. The manufacturers inability to satisfy equipment
delivery was largely caused by Sprint/Nextel management incompetence.
They had/have a bad habit of changing priorities minute by minute. Since
Sprint/Nextel was/is the customer, the manufacturers delivered on whatever
the schedule de jure from Sprint/Nextel was that moment.
Riggers. MANY competent climbers simply were rejected by Sprint/Nextel
based entirely on estimated cost. Sprint/Nextel known drunks and others
with horrible reputations solely because they were cheaper.
These two issues are personally known to me from direct involvement
in the television 2 gHz conversion, and having to deal with them both.
