Some names I have not heard in a while came up in this conversation. In
1970, I worked for Homer Odom, owner of KSLY, 1400kHz, San Luis Obispo,
CA. There was a resistor in series with the antenna to limit its radiation
efficiency. Homer got Glenn Callison and Ralph Dippel involved in removing
the resistor. Glenn came out to visit at least once, and I spent a lot of
time on the phone with Ralph. The company at that time was, I believe,
Cohen and Dippel.
