[BC] Cassette deck maintenance

I got to thinking about this maintenance question and came up
with this idea. The answer is to have a cassette loaded with
white tape. The tape can be marked with, let's say, a red
line at 1.75 inches, a green line at 3.5 inches, a blue line
at 5.25 inches, a yellow line at 7.0 inches and a black line
at 8.75 inches and the process could be repeated for thirty
or forty-five minutes. Then all you need is a good stopwatch
and a good eye.

Perhaps I've been spending too much time in the classroom of
Mr. Osenkowsky?
