[BC] Long Wire

Hey Scott,

Yep there is an ATU, a C to ground on the input from the tx and the a series coil. Matches well, sounds nice and is in stereo!

I'll certainly get some decent pics. We used a wind-up tower, which would go to 100', but we only have a fixed little 50' tower at the other end. We've found before that if the far end of the L is lower than the top of the vertical, it doesn't seem to get out so well.

There are some nice pics on our website, www.zenithclassicrock.com but the AM ones are from last year when we had the big tower up.

Andy,
Get some good picture of this! I loved to see what you have do. We had some unipole wires come loose off out tower last year and we could have stayed on with what you are doing. I'm sure the wire feeds into an ATU. I love to have it for my records in case we get in that situaation again!

Thanks,
    Scott

With our temp station at the moment, due to lack of space, we are using an
inverted L antenna, total length 1/4 wavelength, comprising abt 50 feet

Unconventional maybe? Works - but not nearly as well as the 1/4 vertical tower
