There are no more *Border Blasters*. Haven:t been for YEARS.

XERF hasn:t had its 250 kW Tx operational for the better part of a  
half-century, and it has been operating at very reduced power, 10 kW  
IIRC, for years. Possibly back up to 50 kW, nights.

XELO, now XEROK, hasn:t had its 150 kW Tx operational for quite some  
time. Believed to be operating at reduced power, possibly 10 kW days,  
but 50 kW nights.

Those are the only Mexican I-As actually on the border.

There are two Mexican I-Bs on the border.

690 was 50 kW all hours, but since *Rio* it has operated 77 kW days,  
and 50 kW nights, in full conformance with that treaty, which allows  
any non-US, non-Canadian Class I to increase its day power to 100 kW,  
provided its night power remains as before.

1090 has remained 50 kW all hours, although it is certainly entitled  
to 100 kW days, also in accordance with *Rio*.

All other Mexican clears, of whatever class, are in that country;s  
interior, and, hence, are not *Border Blasters* at all.

150 kW is more-or-less standard for Mexican I-As in the interior, the  
closest to the U.S. being 540 in San Luis Potosi and 1050 in Monterrey.

More than 150 kW is found in Mexico, D.F.

All other Mexican clears, which are I-Bs, are 50 kW nights and 100 kW  
days, if full-power, or are 10 kW nights and 50 or 100 kW days, if  
grandfathered at lower than 50 kW nights.

Mexico has actually been quite cooperative with respect to allocations.

It has approved all the high-powered FMs in U.S. places within the  
coordination zone, such as San Diego and Los Angeles, especially the  
latter as its HAAT is so extreme that dramatically less than 50 kW  
would otherwise be allowed, yet most of those are 50 kW and some of  
those are even 100 kW with that extreme HAAT.
