[BC] Snow.blizzard fading?

KRVN in Lexington, NE 50Kw 880  has extreme fading at 60-100 miles out 
on really snowy nights particularly during a blizzard.  Deep, Deep fades 
with the signal strength meter going nearly to zero then back up to S7 
or 8   any other time the needle on the meter is rock solid day and 
night with no fading this close.  I noticed this whenever I am in that 
area with a blizzard in progress since way back in the 1960s and am 
wondering why snowy blizzards would cause this change?  Is this common 
on other stations too? I only noticed it on this one as whenever i'm in 
a blizzard that seems to be where its at, lol.
