I did some quick look-ups on Class C stations in the area where I am based (North Georgia - terrible ground conductivity) and where Scott is based in the Nashville area. Co-channel 1Kw stations at 1230/1240 are located 70 and 80 miles apart, stations at 1490 are 50 to 60 miles apart. (52, 62, 62)

I did due-diligence on a 1kw a few years ago and listenable daytime coverage was 15 miles, night coverage 5 miles.

Is it true they will no longer grant NEW Class C stations? My memory is there some in the last A.M. application window.
