Since I'm a daytimer, I start work at sign off, so I can get it done, and get to bed on time. If it is in the summertime, and sign off is at 8 PM, I sign off and start work at 6 PM, when drive time is almost over and the Gallatin Residence that work in Nashville are all at home watching TV, taking care of the kids, etc.
After I'm finished, I usually turn the transmitter back on at 3 watts, and leave it on all night.
