DAs are routinely allowed for Class C (old class IV) stations as long as the
station's deepest null does not exceed that of 250 watts Non D.

The license of WOLF 1490 in Syracuse still specifies a DA to protect a
former co-channel in Kingston, Ontario, although I think WOLF
presently operates non directional under an STA or CP.
