Back in the early 60's I cared for several Western Electric T-409 HF ISB
4 KW transmitters. They were used mainly as drivers for our 50 KW
Collins transmitters. Every element of every tube in the T-409 was
metered for voltage and current. The Rolls Royce of transmitters. They
were also used in the Trans Atlantic radio service for commercial
radiotelephone service.
