It would seem to me that repurposed ITFS antennas would also work...

Especially if they were tuned to A/B group.

Or with a bit of help from a file or diagonal cutters, a couple of MDS 
antennas.

OTOH, you can get a Yagi WITH router for under $150, new, on eBay...

Needs an outdoor enclosure and a power feed as well as Ethernet...

They DID have some modified ones that could use POE and came in a NEMA 
6, IIRC, weather enclosure.

Outfit called Innovative Devices, up in Canada, I believe...

They use a Linksys router...

Yagi antenna 17dBi with N Type Connector
AND
WRT54GL ROUTER (Professional  Firmware installed)
