I have know you for some time. Think about what you just said above. I guess you are just going to sit around and let your AM die. If you wanted to sell it today what could you get for it? If you had a 200 Watt FM translator on your tower, it sure as heck would beat your 3 Watts now at night. Also the FM translator would have the same coverage day and night.. Also for the first time you could be in full stereo.
But most of all for your family or children, purchasing an AM translator will better your station in your market. It will also be an investment in the future of your station and also increase itsn value.. It essentially is the best thing the FCC has ever done for local AM's accept maybe the first power increase from 250 watts full time to giving them 1 kW day.
