So Chip, the sales of HD radios suck as it is. So your solution is to
make yet another radio mutually incompatible to the present HD
radios, and that will finally get the lazy a**ed consumer into the
store to buy a radio? When chickens grow lips.

Digital broadcast has nothing to offer the consumer, except for HD2
and HD3, but most consumers couldn't care less about HD1.

The only reason I own an HD radio is out of curiosity, and I have two
HD NCEs that I maintain. I always promised that I would not buy
another radio until the HD radio dropped to 20 bucks. OK I paid 60
bucks for a reconditioned one from Radio Shack; so I lied. HD does
sound better than my analog, but HD is a true snooze fest for someone
not "into" radio.
