Yes. Clear Channel in Houston is doing this for a back up STL with good
results. Two caveats though:

First, your experience may vary depending on the quality of both the signal
and the provider. 

Second, most 3G wireless networks have a 5 gB per month cap (with obscene
charges if you go over) and a 24/7 160 kbps stereo connection draws ten times
that amount in a month. As of now, Sprint 4G is not capped, but that doesn't
mean it won't be in the future.
