    Well that is interesting. And it certainly seems like it would make a
gas-tight seal. I'm going to have to see if I have some  cadwelds left over
from the past project that I can "test".

    I think so. I've been told that the mechanical connections stand up
better than silver brazing during direct lightning dissipation, but I don't
have any empirical experience to support this.
