Jeff,

Take another look at the first two replies in this thread.
Dana pointed to the FCC distance page which has the
advantage of total agreement with FCC staff determinations
and is what I always use for my calcs for that reason. 

For a free stand alone program strictly for GC calcs 
Barry pointed to D&A.zip on oldradio.com.

OK, it has been around for a few years, but GC's and
spherical trig have been around a whole lot longer.

Another thought; Send a note to Dale Bickel and you just
might get lucky and get the source for the program that
supports the FCC distance page if you need to use it on 
a machine that does not always have access to the net.
