They've got to be kidding??? Right???
Do these clowns have any idea on how most people get broadband?
Our cable broadband goes out in bad thunderstorms (or simply if there
is a power outage at the last amplifier). Our DSL is more reliable,
since the telco central office has power backup, but not everyone can
get DSL. It isn't available, for example, at our one station's
studios. Despite being right along side a major highway in the metro
city.
I supposed one could equip the wireless broadband providers with power
back-up, but they are minor players. Perhaps this is the point--
1. We need to switch broadband over to wireless to have emergency connections;
2. We need more spectrum (to sell to get the Congress out of the hole
they are digging...)
3. Therefore those selfish TV station owners need to go away...
