[BC] recommended fluxes for silver soldering ground system/radials?

I use 15% Silver Sta-Sil Or something like that (same stuff Cowboy
mentions) and a Oxy-Mapp torch. Oxy-Mapp gives you right at the same
amount of heat as Oxy-Acetylene but you aren't running back to the
welding shop every day for a new tank of fuel. I've brazed up 2 120
radial ground systems and still have about half of a 20# tank of Mapp left.
As far as flux, I seldom use it. It's only needed if the copper is
really old and cruddy. When I do use it it's the white paste stuff, but
I can't remember the name.
For a small job like the poster talks about, he can get one of the
Bernz-O-Matic Oxy-Mapp torches at any hardware store, just be sure to
get an extra oxygen tank or two. No flux should be needed. I used (and
still do from time to time when I don't feel like dragging out the big
torch) one of those small torches for years and it works wonderfully. I
did cheat and use a medical O2 E cylinder @2-3Lpm in place of the small
home cans just because it saved lots of money.
