That may be the case for some - but I'm sure a good proportion *need* 
internet access to support their stations (or businesses) when they're away.
For them it may be the "deal" they've done with their managers to let 
them get away.

More and more support work is done via VPNs etc, incl transmitter remote 
control.
Myself I say you can't beat a Burk ARC16SA and a mobile phone (aka 
cellphone over there).

Enjoy the NAB people! I'm sooo jealous.
