I was spoiled. When I started in radio in 1969 we had a mix of ATC 
Criterion and Gates Criterion cart machines in the studios at WMUA, 
Amherst MA. We used our Ampex 350 and 440/442 reel-to-reels only for 
production and long-form programming.
