I was the last person to turn off, for good, the Channel 11 TV
Site West of Seattle at View Park before they moved the transmitter
to a new facility downtown. The old place, called 'The North 40'
had kitchen facilities and a bunk room. In those days the place
was always fully manned. Even had it's own ham station.

Most mountain top sites do have some facilities for eating and
sleeping etc due to the possibility you are going to get stuck due to
weather.
My big gripe are those sites that don't have 'facilities'. Recently
two of the big sites out here were sold and the new owners rep.
was amazed to find electric toilets in each. When it's blowing
snow outside, the last thing you want to do is have a primitive
privvy.
