Of the 7 radio stations Ive worked for, I've lvied at 4 of them. At one station, I was literally o nthe other side of the glass form the studio, but later moved into an office down the short hallway. At the second station, I took over an office at the opposite side of the building from the studio and turned it into my combined office/bedroom, at that station I had to switch between rooms once or twice when the Window AC or Central Air would fail.
At another station, I lived in a mobile home trailer in the same parking lot as the radio station. At the 4th station, I mainly slept on an air mattress in the studio.. I had to manually sign this station on and off everynight, so Id get up, put the bed away and sign on for the day.
Living at a station has never bothered me and I actually liked it. Short commute, alot lower expenses (no rent, didn't have to pay power or phone bill). One station I worked at tour up a second bathroom, put in a washer and a shower stall for me. Another station already had a shower put in.
