 I recall being told that when I worked Salem's Ethel Tower in ( obviously )
 Ethel Texas, or maybe it was Splendora Tower, that it was the tallest
 structure in the world by an inch or so. ( guyed )
 ( don't remember the exact AGL, but it was some odd number like
 2002 feet 4 inches )
 Had my doubts even then, but it does "sound good."

 Pretty sure there's a Japanese or Dubai, or some such, building
 taller today, built with American money if Arab.

 Hmmm.....
 What *is* the "world's tallest building" today ?
