A 2000 ft. tower at Ground Zero? I don't think so. I saw a recent 
documentary about Ground Zero nearly 10 years later. There's nothing 
there. All parties and then some are still arguing about what should 
be built. They've even removed a stone monument to those who died 
there and moved it to Long Island. The leaseholder rejected one 
building because it had too much decorative doodads. He needed 
rentable space. A single tall broadcast tower would bring in a 
fraction of what he owes the Port Authority.

Not long after 9/11 there was talk of a 2000 ft. tower on a close-in 
island. As I recall, stations rejected it.
