[BC] forget the brain dead engineers what about the DJ's?

One very arrogant SOB of a jock, among other things, "had fun with me"
for months running, over my efforts to get him to apply for the
then-needed (and free) FCC restricted permit. The PD was no help. At a
prior job this same "superstar" had spilled a sugary drink into the
board, shutting down the station, and laughed his a** off.

Management had made me, as chief operator as well as CE, directly
responsible for FCC compliance as the rules said. Thus there was no
question about my authority to get him to apply for the permit. However
his "star power" prevailed. After he thankfully left the station he was
scheduled to do a local cable tv show where he promised to make fun of
local radio people. I dreaded what he would say about me, but again
thankfully the whole thing was canceled. I don't know where he is now;
maybe Cumulus or CC gave him a big management job for all I know.
