I was told a story by someone present at a St. Elmo's fire indicent at a
major station TX site. There were several people present in this rather
large TX building. Needless to say, they exited the building rather
carefully and quickly by any means possible.

I don't have a problem being at AM TX's I built or know well during
storms as I know the site is typically well grounded. FM's...I tend to
want to get out of there as the gear is typically not as well bonded
together....and most grounds are less than preferred.
