Just completed a MoM tune up of a 6 tower DA with a co-located detuned
tall tower. It's ready for filing once I complete the reference points
this weekend.

>From when Ron arrived to when he proclaimed no more VNA work needed was 5
days, only one of which was a long one. First two days were partials as
tower work was being completed when he arrived and all we did was
characterize line impedance, their lengths, pre-set ATU networks, check
TCT calibrations. Day 3, we cranked out floating tower measurements and
lighting choke sweeps in a few hours. He then went back to the hotel,
created the model. Day 4, tuned all networks for correct phase and ratio
per the model and asjusted phasor. We had FULL power on that night.

Day 5 trim adjusted phasor, matched lines, compared VNA measured to
antenna monitor phase/ratio (both matched to within 1/2 deg. and .002
ratio), adjusted ND-ATU's (2), measured/adusted CP and TX matches and
rotation. Done...no failed or wrong parts either...KTL phasor and ATU's.

Way cool. What I saved on this project using MoM versus conventional
proof will easily pay for many iterations of bi-annual sample system
recertification. No brainer.
