His reading/intonation skills are pretty much a lost art today,
particularly on TV announcers.
While I'm with them politically, Bill O'Rieley and Hannity are in the
habit of raising their voice on the last word of most sentences.
Paul Harvey knew not to do that.
Neil Cavuto drops his voice so low on the last two or three words of
most sentences, that you don't know what those words were.
Shepard Smith uses a condescending/try-to-be-funny tone.
Gretta leaves syllables out of words. E.G. Anna Nicole was pronounced:
Anna Cole.
Anderson Cooper rumbles and stutters through sentences like a nervous
junior high kid.
Here's a good one: John Cocharan, ABC news. Perfect intonation.
