My other comments not withstanding, the jury clearly split this down the
middle awarding less than 1/2 of what was originally sought. It appears
the jury felt $16M of the original sought figure fell on the decedent's
lack of personal responsability to self judge her condition.

But I agree this whole thing wouldn't have happened IF the decedent AND
defandants had used a little more common sense and stopped the silliness
associated with the contest when it got down to two contestants and it ran
mroe than 6 hours. A $300 game isn't worth a life. But $16M is it seems.
