[BC] KDND Verdict

I think this type of judgement should be used against the licensee in the
form of character before the FCC. A licensee who tacitly gave the approval
by lack of objection or sheer ignorance showed poor judgement and lack of
control. And while not found accountable from a civil stand point, this is
a clear indication the licensee was not really in control of the station.

I agree, these types of agregious decisions deserve the payout here. If I
were a shareholder of the company, I'd be raising holy hell right now with
David Field for allowing this type of activity to happen under his watch.

While I'm sure they'll appeal, it's not likely any appelate court will
reduce the judgement very much in light of the actions by the
participants. Stupidity doesn't sit well with jurists.

That station (and cluster) has esentially lost all it's value and will be
in the proverbial hole for years to come since Field can't sell it for
anywhere near his purchase price.

Did the verdict also include any peronsal judgement against those who
materially participated in the event? Air talent, PD, Promotions
management, the GM? The person(s) who decided the contest should continue
past a certain point AND past that of any medical professional who advised
the contest should stop needs to be held equally accountable if not more
so.
