I saw one with a bent bolt on the former X-Star Network station's tower in
Crawfordsville, IN. It was a newly installed tower. I asked our erector,
Charlie barber, about it, and he said that was normal for that style. The
hole through which the bolt passed first was elongated a bit to allow the
bent bolt to pass through. The form allows less bending stress on the bolt.

My dad who was a farmer and foreman of materials at American Ship Building,
Toledo, said that a farmer uses the term clevis, and a ship rigger uses the
term shackle. Or, the other way around ....

My dad also told me that there is no such thing as a bolt. They are all
machine screws.
