I've seen that also, but not tot he degree you state here. Yow!

It is, but having some idea of the downward pull of all the guys, and  
the weight of the whole mess, I'd be "uneasy" standing near this  
thing. I don't know if the insulators were peoperly spce'd, installed  
and so on, and that's the part that makes me seriously question it.

I have to wonder just how it was erected in the first place....climb  
with stick in hand, welding as pieces were added? Assemble the whole  
thing on the ground and *carefully* raise it with a crane?
