I attended one of the Commission's first town hall meetings on "localism."
It was replete with Copps and Adelstein's huffing and puffing about the
importance of localism.  Since that meeting, several years ago, the main
studio rules have been further  relaxed.  We have the main studio for an FM
station here that is an 85 mile drive, one way, from the city of license
(which is in another state).  From listening and monitoring their EAS
transmissions, with spare equipment, I have no evidence that they have
provided any programming or EAS transmissions that serve their city (or
state) of license.

Discussions about (even further) relaxing the main studio rules just seems
absurd, to me.
