We used some used towers in our new 4 tower AM two years ago. (See http://www.fybush.com/sites/2009/site-090417.html) The price was right. These were a part of a much larger tower, professionally dismantled (By Richard Haskey), properly stored and moved to our site by professionals and re-installed by Denny Todd, one of the best. We purchased new bottom sections and of course all new lighting, guys etc. The headaches we had to put up with to meet the zoning and building permits almost made the savings less than desirable. The City of North Las Vegas actually wanted the original welder's certificates on these towers (Built up In Sacramento 15 years ago) and we almost had to x-ray them all. After lot's of Documentation and help from mechanical engineers and the tower manufacturers they finally let us go ahead.
Unless it's a heck of a bargain, or I'm building somewhere other than North Las Vegas, I'll think twice about using used tower again.

Roughly sixty 20' sections in those five towers.
