Well, I have been supervising tower work recently and will say this. It
costs a large amount of money to dismantle a tower unless it is
something like a 45G. Old towers take a lot of time to dismantle. And
the rigging company I deal with tells me that some of their customers
insurance company do not want to insure old towers that have been
dismantled and re-erected. Easier and cheaper to use explosives or
judicious use of a D8 tugging a guy cable.
