This article seemed to be little more than a puff piece and leaves
lots of questions unanswered. Does this provide service to individual
homes or is it just a handful of businesses and the school? What
about range and how does it work in hilly/mountainous terrain? Why
not just go with Wimax?

I ask because I live in one of those rural communities where dial-up
or satellite are the only options. There is no "downtown" and
population (such as it is) is spread out making a wi-fi hotspot pretty
useless. Dunno about you, but having to sit in the car in front of
town hall with a laptop every time I want to get online would get old
quick.
