True. it's not "broadcast' per se' What I was trying to illustrate is that UDP
is one way or simplex. It goes out and that's it. There is no ACK as in TCP/IP
for feedback.

UDP has nothing inherently broadcast.  There are no broadcast protocols in the
IP world.  Broadcast means one source to many destinations.  Multicast is the
closest to broadcast, but it still is restricted to an address range.
