Looks like they might want the land for another soccer field....

The TX is tucked away in a corner of the parcel where there are several
such already.

http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&tab=wl

43°  41' 59.00" N    72° 16' 47.00" W  (NAD27; the TX is a few hundred
feet SSE of where Google spears it; almost in the woods)

Any potential buyer should be prepared to do a move....

Although I'd say a 1kw U on 1340 SHOULD be a nice little "mom & pop"
operation; coverage should reach well beyond Hartford to the south...

This reminds me all too much of the sale of W A J C, Indianapolis,
though... Trustees of Butler University sold to Susquehanna. University
station, but a full B on a 400-foot stick. Used the money, IIRC, to
"upgrade" the TV production and build the TV station...

WTBU, ch 69*....

And now, BOTH are gone, and what was once one of the premier schools for
Radio and TV is a mere shadow of its former self.

Dartmouth is just the latest school to succumb to the belief that the
Internet is the end-all and be-all of mass media...

<sigh>
