But you misunderstand the whole purpose. My server is located in a data center
with TONS of backed up bandwidth, UPSes, generators, redundant Linux servers,
etc, etc. That's part of what you're PAYING for-reliability!

Yes, I could run this out of my bedroom with a FIOS connection, charge 15
bucks a month and make a killing. BUT that day would come where you (and a lot
of others) would be off the air and you'd all rightfully be screaming bloody
murder!

We priced this at 30 dollars a month (actually if you pay by the year it's
$25.00 a month) because we feel that's a fair price for a reliable, well
thought out service with 24/7 support. At that price we make a reasonable
profit.  You have the option to buy our service-or not. That's your choice. We
believe that a good amount of people will buy it-enough for us to offer it.

I'd like to see an option to set up our own server for a one time fee as
an alternate to using yours for a monthly fee.
