And yesterday was the 13th, albeit not a Friday.

This is a document going to D.C. as an exhibit. Where to after that I  
suspect most list members can guess, as it had to be in PDF form.
This document represented a year of negotiation--which is why I was  
scanning the signed, each page initialed document instead of just  
sending a PDF of the original Word document.

What threw me was my secretary e-mailed over the original scan to my  
in-box (yes, we could have used the LAN, but my computer was never set  
up to talk to hers because I've never needed it to be).  But then that  
PDF kept getting rejected without explanation when I tried to send it  
onto the D.C. attorneys (until one of my e-mail services finally gave  
me an error message: file is too big--you dummy!)

My Adobe 6 at home (full version) has a menu item entitled "optimize  
scanned PDF" which shrinks everything down quite nicely, though with  
some loss of resolution.
