The only thing that seems to fail on an HP4 is the top feed roller assembly.
They are 600dpi. Newer is not better. My HP2840 color laser is down with a
bad fuser, but the ten year older HP4 still runs well. It actually has
METAL inside! .. so does my typewriter.
