There were probably six to 10 stations back  then that most of us 
would NEVER send a resume to because the frequency  and tone of their 
ads were just scary!  And, Paul,  I'm thinking  one of them was in the 
town where YOU work  now.<<<<

I remember that's  station. I started reading Broadcasting in the 7th  
grade I asked for a copy for one of my birthdays ( seven bucks a year back  
then).
 
It was a mom and pop station I think the calls were WAMD and I thin  it  
was in Salisbury, MD. They wanted a first phone and you had to go out  and 
sell your own show. It was a 500 watt station directional.
 
 I always wondered what happened to that station the adds disappeared  a 
couple of years later.
 
Those were the days. Third phone and experience preferred.
