[BC] XDS fans

Should be under warranty.  But, you can find one at MCM for $5 a unit.
Looks the same as with that tach lead.  If you put a non-tach 12 volt
fan you will have a fan failure alarm but cooling will be active.

Had one stop and did not result in anything except alarm.  Not a mission
crucial part.  Watch replacement orientation.  Blades to housing grill
will stop rotation.  I used long screws in place plastic rivets.

Stock spares as this is the low dollar part failure part in this Chinese
I-Pod.

Anyone have a good source for fan replacements in the XDS receivers?
I originally thought just a standard pc case fan was going to work, but
I
guess it needs a rpm control wire too.
I've e-mailed and called a couple of places, but I either don't get a
response, or I don't want 200+ of those type fans.

The one that's out looks to be a:

I know... I can't believe I'm already replacing one either.
I guess I could get the 200+ and them sell them to you guys when you
need
them!
