It might have been for the one station. HOWEVER, for areas which don't
have an interested media partner, this IS the only way to get a NWS TX
should there not be any interest otherwise.

FWIW, we house a NWS TX at a site where we have an AM and FM TX. The NWS
has granted us permission to bridge/buffer their audio circuit and
directly feed our EAS gear. Ostenisbly to BACK-UP their TX should it fail.
Which it did recently when the site lost power and THEIR new generator
didn't start because of failed button battery in the ATS(!!!!!)

The only requirement is we need to carry the major call to action warnings
(Tornado and Flash Flood.) Which we do anyway. This now gives us the
chance to clean-up the audio from the NWS which is REALLY messy after the
Crown TX.

If your station has a NWS TX at yor site, consider doing the same. You
might be surpised at how receptive the NWS is at working with you if they
have problems keeping the site going.
