[BC] In the AM radio wars of the '60, they talked big and talked back

No. They are not glorified iPods, but crippled ones.

MY iPod is filled with MY music. If I didn't like it, it wouldn't be
there.

Even still, if something comes on that I don't want to hear right now,
I just push the "next" button.

The crippled iPods feeding the HD2 and HD3 channels don't have my
music on them, nor can I press the "next" button. Same for the Jack
format.

On the other hand, WMAL (AM) 630 kHz in DC is also on WRQX (FM) HD2.
I drove from DC to Nashville for the weekend nearly two weeks ago, and
I heard that on a few other AMs. They were on some FM's HD2. I don't
have an IBAC radio so I cannot listen, but are they covering the
commercials?

Those AMs on HD2 are trying to get radio networks to "affiliate" the
HD2. I don't see the point if they are not able to carry the network
commercials. In fact, if I were in charge of the network, I would
refuse to allow network programming without commercials to be carried
on the IBAC channels.
