[BC] C-SPAN: A Performance Tax Debate

"The Communicators," a weekly C-SPAN series, featured opposing 
perspectives on The Performance Rights Act, a bill backed by the 
Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) that would levy a 
new fee or "performance tax" on local radio stations that air music 
free to listeners. The segment, which ran on Saturday, featured NAB 
Joint Board Chairman Steve Newberry, president and CEO of 
Kentucky-based Commonwealth Broadcasting, and Duke Fakir, an original 
member of "The Four Tops."
