Dave,
See my earlier posting in response to Dana. The DDRR is a very interesting antenna. The first one I built for 20 Meters didn't work worth squat. I talked to John about it and he pointed out that there are some extremely high current points and every contact had to be very high quality. A little silver solder later and it was working fine. It still did not perform as well as my full size inverted V on 20 so I gave it away to some new ham with limited real estate. It was designed and patented originally to be installed on the deck of a battleship. He also put together some vhf and uhf versions. One 2 meter dual ring version fit nicely around my Fedora, but I felt it looked a bit ridiculous so never used it (much). Another one he built for 440 but aimed at selling it for public service, was the dual ring type and he'd just throw it up into a tree (If he could find one in AZ) and operate with it as an elevated antenna.

Bill, please let us (me) know if/when you do find it. I wonder if this
