I am using that Comcast Webmail called "SmartZone." It won't let
anyone look at headers. This means that I downloaded the compressed
executable and after getting out of Firefox, deliberately executed
it, think it was the real deal! It signed on with the Verizon Logo, etc!
I didn't have a clue because Verizon said they provide their free
"security center" with the service ^).
It was only after I started investigating the slowness and the
network activity when I realized I'd been duped!
I've tried to use POP3 with Comcast but it doesn't work. Their
server keeps hanging up when I try to get my mail and for sending
mail, they keep changing the mail-port so after my outbox gets
filled up I contact their "customer service" which isn't, to find
the port du jour.
At my new office, my mailers all work with POP3 because the
servers are my web-servers, HostMySite.com, and they know how
to set up their stuff.
Cheers,

That's one reason why I love Eudora. I can look at the source code of the
message top to bottom, including HTML coding.
Every one of those messages I get I can see precisely where the link would
take me. It's amazing the places and ends people will go to cover their
tracks by inserting the most benign characters to steer a malicious site.
