I have yet to see a perfect match, anywhere.
If I understand the theory that the Air Force taught me lo those many
years ago modulation produces sidebands.
If an ATU is tuned to the carrier frequency then the side bands cause
a non resonant condition either side of the carrier frequency causing
a slight rise in the VSWR.

1. I dont have a Smith chart.
2. I don't know how to use a Smith chart.
