[Powell Way]

The 620 in Cayce ( near Columbia, SC ) had one. It was barely running 
for years and never had the 4-400 mod. It finally went when the state 
of SC condemned the site for a road and had to find and build a new 
facility.  The old tower was solid rust with Kudzu in the tower gate 
and HALF way up the tower. The transmitter building was covered in Kudzu.

The new site, new owner is very nice. New everything. The 1470 Alex 
bought is also co located there. I wouldn't want to live very close 
to that site.... I expect radios and some telephones are not happy.

As for using a McMartin board, I would hope the electrolytic 
capacitors have all been changed or else there will be some rather 
"unhappy" audio.

The original calls for 620 is WCAY and they were a 500 watt daytimer. 
I actually have a very nice WCAY coffee cup.
